"Let the consequence not be the determinant of your peace. Let the act alone give you the satisfaction you were looking for."
Man Hunt is a book filled with drama, suspense and thrill yet it inspires you to understand the nature and patterns of each and every living organism created by god. The book centers on co existing without harming.
The plot of the book is an assortment of small stories of different people who are, one way or another, connected to The Nagarjuna Forest Reserve. Situated in Telangana, The Nagarjuna Reserve is a home to 72 tigers (allegedly), but it’s not about them. There’s a rumour of a 73rd tiger lurking around the forest, preying on villagers.
"It's funny. We are the most superior species on the planet, and our solution to a problem is to destroy it. That's not being superior. That's being dumb and destructive."
The book shows an extraordinary story of various characters, who represent every aspect of human nature namely love, hate, care and extreme greed.
"Nothing has ever started. And so, nothing has really come to an end."
The story also brings out various bigger issues like deforestation, corruption of Indian Media, malicious political agendas, genetic modification and our responsibility as a concerned humans.
This book is a major treat if you are fascinated by wildlife and nature. I do think some parts were stretched out but otherwise the author has done an incredible job with the intricate details and the writing technique full of suspense. She talks about karma, karmic cycle, positivity and many more eye opening spiritual messages.
Also, this book is special for me as it was sent by the author with her own handwritten signature and a beautiful quote that says "Abundance is your inheritance".
So if you haven’t picked it up yet, you definitely should!
Lots of love,
